Using this screen reduces graininess, dot gain and opens up the entire tone curve. It eliminates the occurrence of moiré or rosettes. The greatest advantage of these screens is the ability to print tonal grids of one object in five, six or seven colors.

Przedstawiam czwarty kawałek [prophetical staccato screen implement], który, traktuje o strukturach rastrowych, które budują półtony przy pomocy regularnego i spójnego wzoru. Zastosowanie tego rastra redukuje ziarnistość, przyrost punktu rastrowego i otwiera całą krzywą tonalną. Eliminuje występowanie efektu moiré czy pojawiania się rozetek. Największą zaletą tych rastrów jest możliwość drukowania siatek tonalnych jednego obiektu w pięciu, sześciu czy siedmiu kolorach.
